So quirky, and the characters were so layered. And I liked the ending, but then I tend to like my endings wrapped up with a big bow. Plus with her daughter narrating I wanted Bee to have a happy ending. I know of a reader who disliked the ending of a book so much (Canterbury Trail by Angie Abdou) that she placed clips to hold those final pages together and then made up her own ending.
