A Crowd Sourced List of YA Retellings

Over on EPIC READS, They have this great chart of 162 YA books that are retellings or re-imaginings of popular classic literature, myths, fairy tales and Shakespearean plays.

I have a small picture of what the chart looks like to the left, but if you click through you can get to the larger file in a horizontal or vertical version which can be printed in sections to hang in your YA areas.

Even better than the cool graphic, the post also contains a breakdown of each category-- Fairy Tales, Classics, Shakespeare, and Mythology-- and then breaks down each bubble therein.

I can see myself using this list to booktalk a fun reading option to many teens.

It looks good and is useful.  What a great one-two punch for teen services.
