Panelists 

         

Melissa Andrews has been the Collection Development Manager for the Boston Public Library since 2016, overseeing collection development and Reader’s Advisory services online and at the Central branch. Melissa has worked for the BPL since 2007 in a variety of roles, and frequently misses her bus stop because she is reading.   

Monique Christian-Long is a Library Manager at the Dallas Public Library. She helped create a newsletter called the Young Black Reader which highlights African American books for children and teens and is released bimonthly. For two years, she has conducted readers' advisory through a program called the Personal Librarian Project, where she curates monthly reading lists, answers requests, and records the PLP Fiction (But Not just Fiction) podcast. 

Kristy Lockhart is the Assistant Director for the Weymouth Public Libraries in Weymouth, Massachusetts, coordinating library services and staff across multiple departments and branch libraries. Prior to moving to an administrative role, she was the Head of Reference & Adult Services and brought to the job a particular passion for readers' advisory. She continues to take an active role in developing new RA outreach and programming.  

Moderator: Angela Hursh is a Senior Engagement Consultant at NoveList, helping client libraries create effective and engaging ways to market their collection. Her background includes more than six years in marketing for the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County and more than 20 years as a broadcast TV journalist.
