Why Talk About Books? from the Head of NoveList

Today is not a day for new information [although I do have to teach my brand new RA in a Covid Reality class tomorrow...to a group from PA!], but it can be a day for inspirational reminders.

Even when the world looks bleak, the work we do, talking about books with people, has value.

To remind us all, here is a post from the Vice President of NoveList, Danielle Borasky, based off a speech she gave in June. It is about our struggles, now and always, in the larger world, but also within our libraries, and how access to stories matters.

I think it is a good read always, but in particular, today, as it will give us access to some good news and a reminder of the things we can control for the positive through our work.
