• This Skin Was Once Mine and Other Disturbances by Eric LaRocca (claustrophobic, disturbing, mesmerizing)
• Forgotten Sisters by Cynthia Pelayo (pervasive unease, strong sense of place, gorgeous prose that enhances the story)
• The Angel of Indian Lake by Stephen Graham Jones (heartbreakingly beautiful, thought provoking, perfect ending)

• Bless Your Heart by Lindy Ryan (engaging narration, southern charm, family secrets)
• Ghost Station by S.A. Barnes (slow burn, strong world building, haunting)
