Booklist June 1 & 15 issue is a spotlight on Biography & Memoir AND Audio

The June issue of Booklist is a double issue (June 1 & 15 are together) because the whole Booklist team will be at ALA Annual in San Diego. If you are going to the conference, stop by the Booklist booth. They always have fun stuff going on. And say hi to everyone for me. Seriously, say Becky said hi. Then I can find out how many people did that. Don't be shy, they are literally THE BEST.

Okay, back to this issue. Since it is a double issue, it has a double spotlight-- Biography and Memoir is the first and Audio second.

So many amazing reviews and lists to help you help your patrons. This link will get you to the newsletter with all of the details, including links to some "High-Demand" reviews and the awesome lists, not only for spotlights but a few bonus themed lists as well.

Below, I have posted the introduction to the newsletter with some of the links embedded. But click here to get the full well formatted newsletter

I’ll try to keep the intro short this time, folks, because we have LOTS of resources and recommendations this month, starting with Aryssa Damron’s interviews with this year’s Carnegie Award winners (Roxanna Asgarian and Amanda Peters), Sarah Hunter’s interview with this year’s Printz Award winner (A. S. King), and Heather Booth’s interviews with this year’s Odyssey Award winners (Macmillan Audio and Listening Library).

If you want even more audio news, head on over to our Spotlight on Audio, which includes a Trend Alert, or our Spotlight on Biography & Memoir, where you’ll find a list of kids’ audiobooks narrated by the authors and an interview with none other than Whoopi Goldberg! Elsewhere in that spotlight, you’ll find our Top 10 BiographiesTop 10 MemoirsEssentials: Legal EaglesTop 10 Biographies & Memoirs for Youth, plus an interview with Mara Rockliff and Melissa Sweet.

And for those looking for some romantic reads, check out Annie Bostrom’s compilation of slow-burn romances in the vein of Rainbow Rowell’s highly anticipated Slow Dance and Heather Booth’s Booklist Backlist about time-traveling love stories.

I told you we had a bunch of goodies!
