Thriller is a catch all term for fast-paced, cinematic stories with lots of twists and turns. Thriller-esque books account for a large number of my patron interactions at the public service desk. Today alone, I would say it was about 80%. Staying on top of this wide range of titles got much easier a few years ago when the authors of these books finally banded together to create The International Thriller Writers (ITW). Check out the bottom of the homepage for a list of member authors. They run the gamut from thriller to suspense an d adventure to horror.
The ITW puts out a monthly newsletter called "The Big Thrill" promoting the works of their members, including interviews with the authors. Check-out the brand new March edition right now with previews of upcoming titles by authors like Jonathan Kellerman, Kate White, Jonathan Maberry, and Michael Robotham, to name a few
