- Why Not Make It 3 in a Row (it is the magic number): Robert Siegel interviews Gary Shteyngart about his Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction on All Things Considered. He was the first American to win the prize.
- Amazon.com released a list of the Most Well-Read Cities in America and The Book Bench (The New Yorker's Books blog) posted this commentary on said list
- Stephen King's Summer Reading List 2011 in EW but reproduced on Book Group Buzz
