Links of Interest

I have spent the last 36 hours grading papers and entering grades for the semester.  The good news is, I will have a new batch of Reading Maps to pass on shortly, but the bad news is, I had no time to post today.

I will however share the interesting links that have caught my fancy over the past few days:

• Listen to the finalists in the contest to be a character in the 10th Anniversary Edition of American Gods' full cast audio recording.  Click here for the details.
• One of my favorite weekly columns is The Book Beast's roundup of the Week's Best Journalism.  I know I have mentioned it before, but it truly is one of my go-to weekly reads both for my work as an RA and for my own pleasure.

• Saturday is Free Comic Book Day.  Always a great event.  Find out if the libraries and book stores in your area are celebrating. 
• A more librarian friendly bestseller list by RA Online coming next week.
• My fellow ALA Editions author, Sue Polanka has a great new book No Shelf Required: E-Books In Libraries and a companion blog, No Shelf Required.  The blog is required reading for those who want to stay in the e-books in libraries loop, and the book is being ordered for the BPL this week.
• Librarian love from one of the Smart Bitches Who Love Trashy Novels.
