ARRT Program: Top 5 of the Top 5

There is still time to register to see Rebecca Vnuk, library consultant, blogger for Booklist and at her own blog, Shelf Renewal, and author of Women’s Fiction Authors: a Research Guide and Read On…Women’s Fiction: Reading Lists for Every Taste, as she present her popular Top 5 of the Top 5 program at the Naperville Public Library on July 21st.  It is only $15.  Click here for the details on this ARRT sponsored program.

Here is the official program description:
Would you like a "go-to" list for books or authors you might not be familiar with? This is a showcase of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery, Suspense, and Women’s Fiction, and what every librarian should be familiar with about these genres: the top 5 authors, books, up-and-comers, and trends.
Rebecca has presented a version of this program before, but she updated it to include the genres our members were most interested in.  You do not need to be an ARRT member to attend. In fact, this is a great program for librarians who are brand new at helping leisure readers.  Rebecca will give you the 5 biggest authors to know, key issues and trends for each genre, and lots of resources for you to check out later.

ARRT is a group of librarians working toward developing Readers Advisory skills and promoting reading for pleasure through public libraries in the Chicago metropolitan area.
