The PLA Conference starts next week in Indy. A van full of BPLers will be attending [myself not included, by choice].
But even though I am not going, that does not mean I am not here to help all of you out. Going or not, here are a few things to keep an eye out for.
First, in preparation for PLA here is a coupon from ABC-CLIO for 20% off their titles which include many RA options. Click through for details.
Also, here is a list of all of the programs at PLA that are RA related courtesy of Readers Advisory Online. Use this list to plan your time wisely.
But I do want to put in a shout out for "Let's Discuss Book Discussions" featuring three friends of RA for All, Neil Hollands, Rebecca Vnuk, and Lucy Lockley. Click through for details from Book Group Buzz (a Booklist Blog). I can tell you from experience, all three are excellent presenters and this program will be worth your time. Plus, they are good nice people so make them feel loved and fill some seats for them. They normally post their presentations too, so when they do, I will have the links up on the blog.
Other "worth your time" presentations by Booklisters can be found listed with some details here.
If you are going to PLA and see something great that you want to share with the RA Community, contact me and we will get it up here on RA for All for everyone to see.
