On February 4th we had the HUGE Speculative Fiction Genre Study kickoff. The direct link to the notes from that meeting can be accessed here. There are 9 pages of notes with a few links out to even more information including this awesome reading list of the books we all talked about as a group-- it’s a crowd-sourced speculative fiction reading list!
Just that reading list alone is a useful resource to start using with readers ASAP.
We are meeting again on April 14th [one week late so that people attending PLA don’t have to miss it] to have our Science Fiction Boot Camp Meeting. Click here for the assignment, details, and the entire schedule for the next 11 meetings.
And remember, ARRT does not mind if you use our genre studies as a guide for your library’s own genre study, just please make sure to credit us as your resource. For information on past genre studies, click here.
For past [and future] posts about the Speculative Fiction Genre Study, you can always use the 2016-17 Genre Study tag.
