Monday Discussion: Women's History Month Edition

Today is the first Monday in  March so I figured it was a good time to ask everyone to share their favorite female author here.

I'll go first.

In contemporary fiction-- writers currently publishing-- this is an easy choice for me.  Although I enjoy many female authors, 2 of my absolute favorite authors, people for whom I have read every book and love them all are Kate Atkinson and Gillian Flynn.

When I think back to female authors from the past, the first female author that popped into my mind, immediately, was Louisa May Allcott.  I loved Little Women as both a child and as an adult.
