Resource Alert: CrimeReads: Roundtable Discussions

This year CrimeReads has launched a new series, Roundtable Discussions. I was excited about the first one, in February and I saved the link, but never got around to posting it. And now, there is another one, so I am hoping it is becoming a series and there will be more.

The two current two roundtable discussions are listed below with links, but both are by Lisa Levy. You can click here to read all of her contributions to the site, but in particular I want to highlight the work happening in these roundtable discussions.

Levy is having larger discussions with [up to now at least] female authors about Crime Fiction subgenres, their appeal, and where the subgenre is moving. I love the interaction between the authors themselves. All of my readers can learn something here. The first two discussions focus on spy fiction and domestic suspense and you can read and learn by clicking on the titles below.

Stay in genre shape always by visiting CrimeReads on a regular basis, but in particular get in subgenre shape x2 right now.

Spy fiction is undergoing a revolution, and women authors are using it to challenge notions about identity, power, and trust.

Ruth Ware, Liz Nugent, Susie Yang, Samantha Downing, and the Liv Constantine duo discuss writing during the pandemic and where the genre is headed next.
