Watch Me and Others Talk About Librarianship Specializations: Beyond “Traditional” Library Careers for ILA

Today I have something a little bit different. It is the link to a recording of a panel I participated in last week for the Illinois Library Associations Career Pathways Series.

This panel featured myself, a law librarian, a medical school librarian, and a tenure tracked MLIS professor.

I highly suggest watching this video no matter what stage of your library career you are in. Seriously. We all share tips for new library workers, those who are in the middle of their career and happy, and those looking to make a change.

Specifically if you are a established library worker, I highly encourage you to watch this presentation because, well, you might not think it is for you, but as we all mentioned, mentoring new people in our profession is something we should all be doing to help.
