Reading Group Choices Favorites of 2023

In the next few weeks, I will be updating my Recharge Your Book Club presentation. One of my favorite resources to identify good book group choices is Reading Group Choices and I especially love their "Favorites" books lists, a resource created by actual readers in book clubs.

To be clear, I love using this resource not only to identify engaging titles for your book discussion groups, but also, and even more often, as a resource to find engaging titles in general. Books that show up on the "Favorites" list for Reading Group Choices are sure bet titles for a wide range of readers.

Click here to go to Reading Group Choices to see for yourself.

I get their newsletter as well, so that I do not forget to use the resource on a regular basis. That is how I was alerted to the announcement below:

The Annual Results Are In!

Thank you for sharing your favorite books!

Here are our reading groups’ favorite fiction, nonfiction, and young adult books of 2023 based on our annual survey results. How many have you read?

Favorite Fiction Books of 2023
Favorite Nonfiction Books of 2023
Favorite Young Adult Books of 2023

We also asked readers what books they read from the Reading Group Choices 2022 guide so that we could discover the most-read books in each genre. Have you read them all?

Most-Read Books from Reading Group Choices 2022

Thank you for taking our 2023 survey to tell us about your reading groups and favorite books. We look forward to providing you with the resources and recommendations you enjoy!

I love how easy it was to access the most recent lists of "Favorites." And, how they not only give you a link to last year's list, but they encourage groups to read backlist titles. When you go in, you will notice that groups are reading books from many years.

And, they make their annual "Favorites" survey results available with one click and for free, going back to 2003 here.

Look for more updated content on book groups coming from me this Fall, but in the meantime, please remember that Book Discussion Group resources are a great place to find sure bet titles for your patrons. By default, these Reading Group Choices "Favorites" crowd sourced lists appeal to a wide range of readers.
